Bektas moved to Germany with his family at the age of one and grew up in Berlin-Reinickendorf. He studied political science^{[1] and,} in addition to his work as a musician, works in home nursing.

In the early 1990s, he honed his skills as an MC at various hip-hop jams during open mic sessions. Together with Erci, he hosted the Berlin radio station Kiss FM in its early days. It was through Erci that the connection to the Cartel came about and later the collaboration with Peter Maffay.

Bektas released his first independent CD, Ali's in Wonderland (2005). With the program of this album, the rapper also appeared in the music and event series My Block – Representation, Self-Assertion and Struggle with Young Migrant Women by Murat Güngör. His themes, which Bektas uses metaphors, come from the streets.

Together with Sirtlan, Bektas also released an album entirely in Turkish: Satırlarımıza Başlamadan (2006), produced by Aksit Ugurlu at No5 Production / Altinparmak Records, is the title of the CD of the pop duo performing in this context as Bektas ve Sirtlan (Eng. Bektas and Sirtlan). In terms of music, this album can be assigned to Turkish or Oriental Hip-Hop.

Bektas can often be heard on productions by other artists. So far, he has worked with Cartel, RZA, Mystikal, Die Sekte, Plattenpapzt, DJ Friction and AnAlphaBeten, as well as with Peter Maffay (with whom he also toured). Bektas was also a guest at the Jazzkantine and rapped for the canteen album Unlimited Durability together with Tachiles, which he once described as his role model.
