Music Producer / Performance
Qaboos Kerim was born on January 27, 1972 in Manisa. Yüzer, who spent his childhood years in Manisa, went to Germany with his family on September 12, 1980. Qaboos Kerim, whose first steps in his music life date back to 1984, was so influenced by the Breakdance and Hiphop movement that came from the density of American soldiers in Germany, that in 1988 he was wildly entertaining with Black Musik in clubs with Americans. Of course, during this time, there were many rap musicians that he was influenced by and looked up to. These; World Class Wreckin Cru aka Dr. Dre, Egyptian Lover, Krs One, BDP, Ice T, Africa Bambaata.
In 1991, they founded Karakan with Alpertunga Köksal aka Alper Ağa, but he left Karakan because Kabus Kerim's style was different and formed the band SES with Big Porno Ahmet, DJ Pasa and Servet Alaca. The most well-known song of the SES group was "Voice in the House". They went to many HipHop Jams and performed. This took about 1 year. In 1993, Kabus Kerim and Big Porno Ahmet joined Karakan and accompanied Alper Ağa.
Karakan's success went beyond the borders of Germany in a very short time and found its place in the European HipHop community.
Together with Cinai Grid and Erci E, whom he met in the jams, they founded the legendary band Cartel. 5 Karakan and Cartel songs in the Cartel album were produced by Kabus Kerim with the contributions of Big Porno Ahmet.
Cartel has achieved many firsts so far, the most magnificent of the awards it has collected, the "Best European Act" award it received from MTV in 1995. In fact, the band received a "Golden Cassette" and a "Platinum Record" within the first 1 month due to this unexpected commercial success for the record company.
Between 1995 and 1997, Qaboos Kerim gave more than 100 concerts. In 1998, Karakan's first and only solo album, "Al Sana Karakan", was released, which was also supervised by Kabus Kerim and implemented by Chill Fresh, which they were able to release after a cold war.
During the promotion period of the album, due to Alper Ağa's desire to quit music and read it, Kabus Kerim saw that it would not be beneficial to put more effort into the album "Al Sana Karakan" and took an active break from music.
Qaboos Karim has worked and duets with many different names until today, but he does not want them to be released.
