VOLKAN T ERROR

Volkan T error is considered one of the pioneers of Turkish hip-hop.

He produced among others the cult album Rapüstad and works with artists like Killa Hakan, Ayben, Ayaz Kapli, Jamey Jasta, Murat Ertel, David Moss, Jean paul Bourelly just to name a few.

He composes and develops pieces for theater, films, radio plays and performances.

Volkan T error aka Sayko Bass is one of the pioneers of Turkish Hip Hop, Hardcore & Metalcore. He produced the Turkish cult hip hop album Rapüstad, composed and developed pieces for various theaters, films and performances and has been on stage as a performer and musician in various productions for quite some time.

He studied European Ethnology, Political Science, Sociology and was one of the directors of the akademie der autodidkaten at Ballhaus Naunynstrasse from 2008 to 2016 which set artistic accents in the youth sector through sound, film, performance and theater productions. From 2013 -2016 he sat on the advisory board of ZAKNRW and from 2017 is, among other things, a jury member at the Treffen junge Musik- Szene at the Haus der Berliner Festspiele.

He currently directs the Houseclub at HAU Hebbel am Ufer, writes for Berlin Bazzar and works on new performances, radio plays, sound collages and podcasts. Under the names Volkan T error / Sayko Bass he makes slam poetry or hip hop, produces for Ayben and Ayaz Kapli or works on lofi beats up to techno. Currently he founded the studio Beatüstad and focuses on Turkotronica a joint project with Ayben & Atif Ülkü or plays E-Baglama / E-Cümbüs at Ottoman Torture “the most extreme in oriental music” or raps lines on DJ Mahmut Beats.
